Bill, great observation ! I recently finish a book talking about the stories how westerners move from Expat employees to Entrepreneurs in China. The book is called "China Entrepreneur: Voices of Experience from 40 Business Pioneers" by Juan Antonio Fernandez and Laurie Underwood.

It is based on the interviews of 40 foreigners who started their businesses in China, including the founder of Tudou.com, founder of HongEn English training school. I picked it up in Barns & Noble last Monday, and finished Wednesday. I 've never read a book, except for Jing Yong's Novel, that makes me finish reading in 2 days. If you have not read it yet, I think you might be interested.
